Microsoft at Berkshire County Blind Society

MicrosoftMicrosoft employees undertook the task of decorating 5 rooms at Berkshire County Blind Society, including giving the kitchen tiles a makeover and the tidying of flower beds at the office site.

The end result meant the centre hosts a bright new meeting room, two rejuvenated kitchens and toilet area, and a revamp of the main office. This all means that the charity can use the money that they would have had to spend if it was not for Microsoft carrying out the challenge and generously paying for all the supplies and equipment which is providing information, practical help and emotional support to over 2,000 visually impaired people in Berkshire.

Jane Crook, CEO Berkshire County Blind Society comments 'The offices of Berkshire County Blind Society in Reading were in desperate need of redecoration and, as with all charities, there is no spare cash for refurbishment. The Society had recently became a member of Connect Reading and I asked them to advertise the decorating project as a team challenge for a local Business. Imagine my delight when we got the offer from Microsoft to 'do the job'! Thank you Microsoft for taking the time.'
